    1. [GAWALTON] Mother's Day...
    2. Mary Ellen Dickerson
    3. Hello Walton Gen Kids, I cannot let this opportunity pass by without telling you what kind of mom I had. During her life time, I don't suppose I'd ever heard the term, 'warm, fuzzy feeling,' but that's exactly what she gave to me. I loved that lady so much, it is impossible to describe. She was 35 years old when I was born and from the time I was about 10 years old, I realized she was older than most of my friends' moms. By the time, I was 15 or so, I worried that I would lose her. God let me keep her until I was almost 43 and she was almost 78. Still, letting go of that wonderful lady was the hardest thing I ever had to do. She personnified the term, 'best friend.' I could tell her anything. If I was happy, she was estatic; if I was sad, she wanted to change the situation for me. She's been gone since 1983 and when I look at her picture, I still feel the loss acutely. The best message I can give you, if your mother is still around, never take her and her love for granted. It's a priceless treasure straight from God. I truly believe that is why God created mothers -- He knew He could not be everywhere. Happy Mother's Day to mothers everywhere -- Happy Mother's Day, Mom! Thanks for letting me say this. Mary Ellen Dickerson
