Thanks very much for such a prompt response - and that was definitely the info needed! Of course we'll be getting permission to survey any cemeteries on private property. There is one that we may have problems getting to. Believe it or not - this is at the back of a business location, but we'll figure out something! This brings up a related issue - there should be some type law granting ingress and egress to get to cemeteries, using existing roads or byways. If you have an ancester buried somewhere, you should at least have the right to visit their grave! I think almost everybody would ask the landowner for permission to cross their property before visiting a grave - even if there were such a law granting ingress & egress.
