Hi Dot - As the Editor of the quarterly ... you just made my day!!! Thanks so much for the good comments! We're trying to concentrate on putting in abstracts of various county records for the 28 counties, never before abstracted (as far as we can find). There's still lots of info that is not yet in print on some of these counties ... and we're looking for it! > > I just received my membership acceptance,I.D. card & quarterly > from,"East Ga.Genealogical Society" & > find it GREAT!! Best 10.00 spent in a while!. Jim Patton is webmaster of the EGGS web site, & it is his goal to put the 4-generation chart of every member on his site. Some people may not have returned the completed charts, or maybe a few don't want them. However, if ya'll will return them, Jim will sure make them "clickable." If you don't have a blank form, I think there's one on the web site. Or you can send Jim a note at: gaeggs@email.com or jepatton@email.com > See some pals on member list & > wonder why their names aren't "clickable?" Hope mine will be soon! > Perhaps someone will enlighten me on "drawbacks" of posting link to > personal/family/genealogy page here at Ga Eggs(my nickname for EGGS) > since so many have chosen not to have clickable name to show chart of > genealogy? So new at this, all, that any "enlightment" > appreciated!!..Thanks,Dot Hunt... Dot - We're certainly glad to have you as a member! Don't know where you live, but we hope you can make our local meetings each month. The next one coming up is next Tuesday, April 11th, 7:00 PM, in Winder at the main public library. After the regular meeting and refreshments, Ted Brooke, coordinator of the new Walton Co. Cemetery project, (about 8:30 PM) will be handing out assigned territories, forms, maps, etc., & the project will have its official kickoff. Wish us good luck! Faye
