    3. Bettie & List Members: I am not familiar with either of the census providers that you listed but I have quite a few rolls of census microfilm for the counties that I am researching both in Georgia and SC. I have purchased all of mine from Census Microfilm Expeditors. The price is now $10.95 per roll and all of those that I have purchased have been as good or better than those I have used at the local library and at the Georgia Archives. I am in the process of typing up both the 1850 (I have already finished) and the 1860 Slave Schedules for Decatur Co., GA. The only information they contain are: Name of Slave Owner No. of Slaves Age of Slave Sex of Slave Color of Slave (either Black or Mulatto) Occasionally you will find a notation that a particular person is idiotic, blind, deaf & dumb but there are very few of those notations. There are no first names furnished for any of the slaves. The information may vary by state and county, I don't know but the above is all that is furnished on the Decatur Co., GA rolls. By the way, I purchased my Microfilm/Microfiche Reader about 5 years ago from a Used Office Equipment Store in Atlanta for $300. It works great sitting beside my computer where I can type from the screen. Ida
