Hi all, My goodness we're a quiet bunch these days! Don't we have any backwards folks out there? Today is L-day, tomorrow is K day, Wed. is J day. For those of you that have just joined us, we're having a backward ABC roll call. If your surnames start with L through Z, then send in your queries to: GAWALTON-L@rootsweb.com I made several updates this weekend to our web site. Please check for errors, & make sure your info is included. I haven't heard from anyone about our census project lately. Are we still doing this? We "voted" to do the 1880 next, but we're not even half way there yet. The 1900 should be out soon--that is the last one we purchased. Let me know what ya'll want to do, thoughts, etc. As a matter of convenience, I've asked Jennifer to keep the list informed about her prayer request. It makes it so much easier all the way around. If you're not interested in her prayer request, then just delete her messages. Thanks! I think that's all for now! Love ya, Momma Walton <><

Or if you would like to join, the URL is < OVERSTREET-L-request@rootsweb.com> Just write the word Subscribe in the subject of the message. Hi list, This is my first post to this list, and I hope there is someone out there who know something about this family. My g-g-grandmother, Caroline Posey, b. 6/18/1830 in SC, married 1st, Joseph Cochran in Morgan Co. and after he died in the war, she married Joshua R. Chandler, b. 10/17/1826, in Walton Co. s/o Allen Chandler and Mary (Polly) Bryan. Caroline's father was William Posey of SC and her mother was Cynthia ? I think William was the son of Francis and Mary Overstreet Posey of Edgefield Sc. In 1830, in Walton Co. there was a John D. Overstreet living very close to a Hannah Posey. Neither of them were on the census in 1840, and by 1850 both of them were in Dooly Co. again living close to each other. I would like to know the connection between these two people, and if they are related to the John Overstreet in Orangeburg District SC, who was the brother of the above mentioned Mary Overstreet. I have information on most of the children of Joshua Chandler, as well as his siblings, and his line of Chandlers back to 1610, in Jamestown, but cannot break through this Posey brick wall. Any help will be greatly appreciated, and I will be glad to share what I have on the following surnames: Chandler, Posey, Overstreet, Cochran, Hawk, Haulk, Peters, Pannell, Adcock, Queen, Jaye, Turnbull, Vowell, Studdard, Beavers, Woods, Alden, Baccus, Broach, and there may be others I haven't found yet! thanks Meg

Another update from Lillian, Something about the fact that counselor at mental health clinic was not allowed to sign affidavit...reception was not clear from cell phone...(satanic interference every time truth was being read!) She read report from lawyer, etc. clearly pointing out truths that could quickly convict ex-husband. Pray please for this child as she has to spend another weekend with her father. Pray for the truth to be received and case solved. Hi all, I'm having some trouble with my mail server & haven't seen any messages showing up. I've been told that they were probably received, but I don't know that. I did receive one message (through my PML search) about Births & Deaths (from Cynthia Forde. I would appreciate if ya'll would send to me & the list, so hopefully I'll receive yours, one way or the other! Sorry for the inconvenience, but really appreciate the help! Love ya, Momma Walton <><
If anyone would feel right about it, here is Lillian's brother's email address. lawrence@vfbc.org Maybe if we all emailed him just stating we're praying for him maybe he'll get off his hands and start giving his sister the support she needs. My email read: I just wanted you to know I'm praying for you. May you do the right thing where your sister is concerned and start giving her the spiritual and emotional support she desperately needs right now. Why not give her a call right now and just say, hey sis I'm here for you and I'm praying for you. You might even find your life enriched by it. God Bless
Ya know, I don't know about ya'll, but sometimes I get so absorbed in my own many problems that I don't take the time to think about others and their problems.....and that's kind of sad....and selfish. Well, really what I mean is that, I do pray for those like Lillian when I read these e-mails, but I don't take the time to tell you all that I do. I can totally relate to Lilllian right now, and I pray for her. I just usually don't...no...I NEVER, express my own problems to any lists. I am kind of a proud individual, sad to say, who would like to think I can deal with all my problems on my own......when they are lurking all about me everywhere. Suffice it to say, I can relate, and pray for Lillian and hers very very deeply! Hi all, Where is everybody??? Today is P & Q day for our roll call. If you have a surname that starts with P-Z, please post your info, if you haven't already. Also don't forget to post on the GenConnect boards: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ga/Walton I'm trying to "round-up" all my deaths & births for the county, so I can get them added to our web page. If you have names of those that were born or died in Walton Co., please let me know. Even if you think they were born/died, or pretty sure they were born/died in Walton Co., let me know. I can add them until you find proof positive! After these are done, & uploaded, we need to start on our Veterans page. I have gathered some info, thanks to ya'll, but know there's lots more that we all have! We are at a stand still on our census image purchases. I've found, too, thanks to ya'll, that my math is awful!! I have $105 towards the 1880, which costs $240. That leaves a balance of $135, unless I'm wrong again. Gen-Sis, Mary Ellen, has been having some foot/feet problems, & may be facing some possible surgery. Keep her in your prayers. I guess that's all for now?? Love you all, Momma Walton <>< He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalms 147:3
