    3. If your experience with myfamily.com is any close to mine, myfamily.com will prove to be more of a hassle than anything else. I hosted a paid site there for two years and will let it expire in two weeks. I (in my own stupidity) have lost valuable genealogy internet finds that I will have to look for again (thinking myfamily was a save haven). Their customer support is virtually non-existent. Anyone who has an AOL account will have numerous problems logging in, etc. Linda Sue's problem below shows the incompatibility issues that AOL users will have. I have moved all of my information from myfamily.com to Yahoo! Groups (which is free). It's a mailing list similar to rootsweb, but it also hosts a site for files, photos, databases, calendar events, etc. It can be an open or closed group, moderated or unmoderated. If such a group already exists, then maybe you can store all of the files there.
