State of Georgia County of Walker On this fifth day of April A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five Personally appeared before one a Justice of the Peace within and for the County and State aforesaid George Shaw aged fifty eight years a resident of Walker County in the State of Georgia who being duly sworn according to law declares that he is the identical George Shaw who was a Private in the Company Commanded by Captain John G. Colbert in the second regiment of infantry Commanded by Col Jet Thomas in the war with Great Britain Declared by the United States on the eighteenth day of June eighteen Hundred and Twelve for the Sum of Six Months and continued in actual service in said war for five months and two days that he has heretofore made application for Bounty land made the act of September twenty eight eighteen hundred and fifty and received a land warrant so not recollected for eighty acres which he has since legally disposed of and cannot now return, he makes this declaration for the purpose of o! btaining the additional Bounty land to which he may be entitled under the act approved the third day of March eighteen hundred and fifty five he also declares that he has never applied for nor received under this nor any other act of Congress, and Bounty land warrant except the one above mentioned.
