    1. [GAWALKER] Surnames: Parham, Long, Williams, Hanson, Rawlings, Alfred, Wall, Westbrook, et al
    2. Parham: William Franklin Parham (1817 - 1892) lived from South Nick-a-jack RD all the way into McLemore Cove where he died. He is buried either in Old Antioch or Anticoch Cemetery. His wife was Mary Lucinda Mowrey Parham who survived him but had removed to Dade County in February of 1900 to live with a married daughter. Do not know when she died nor where she is buried. They were the parents of 11 children. All lived to adulthood but Lewis died shortly before the 1900 census. The Longs who were in Chattanooga Valley (Cenchat) area of Walker County: John A. Long (d. 1885); son, James Riley Long to son, James William Long to dau, Ollie Mae Long Parham. Williams of Chattanooga Valley: Alfred Williams, d. 1869, was from Campbell County TN. His dau, Summerfield Elizabeth md James William Long. Hanson: Thomas Hanson, d. 1879 in the Valley, was the father of Margaret Hanson who married James Riley Long. Thomas was originally from VA but had removed to the Fayette/Coweta County areas of GA. Rawlings: William Poe, b. in TN - d. during Civil War somewhere in TN. His wife was Ellender Alfred/Alford who d. in 1880. They removed from Cherokee County AL shortly after 1861 to the McLemore Cove area. Ellender is buried in Old Antioch Cemetery. A second set of Williams (husband's side) who were from AL but lived in the McLemore Cove area. Son, Samuel married Susan Jane McKey and both are buried in Chattanooga Valley Baptist Cemetery. Another son was Wright Williams who lived in the Peavine area after 1880. McKey: William (not much more info) married Elizabeth Turner. He was an elderly when he married Elizabeth. Whale or Whaling Turner, b. 1799; d. 1894 in the county farm but is buried in Coulter Cemetery. I believe he was a part of the Turner clan who lived in Bledsoe County TN but Whale moved to Marshall County AL prior to 1840 and then to Walker County after 1850 and before 1860. Joel Thomas Westbrook: Born in Coweta County GA to Joel Westbrook and Lucy (---). This was a large family who moved from old Campbell County to Coweta County to AL then northeast back into GA coming into Walker County where Joel Thomas married Nancy Speers/Spears ca 1854. They then moved to Murray County back to Hamilton County TN, finally settled in the area near the Chickamauga Battlefield, Catoosa County. Nancy died and is buried in an unmarked grave Newnan Springs Unity Methodith Cemetery; Joel married a second time to Sarah. Both Joel and Sarah are buried in Peavine Cemetery. Would like to know more about Joel's parents... when and where they died and where buried. Also about Nancy's parents. Wall: Wyley Wall born in N.C. the son of Kinchen Wall. Wyley moved from N.C. across S.C. into Catoosa County/Walker County area where he married Harriett Ballew, the dau of Robert and Elizabeth (---) Ballew. Wyley fought for the C.S.A. and he and Harriett are buried in Chickmauaga City Cemetery. Robert and Elizabeth (---) Ballew... both were from North Carolina, removed to South Carolina and then into Catoosa County GA. Thank you.
