    3. Carolyn, You may want to look in neighboring counties for your ancestors if you don't find them in Walker County. Madison & Miriam Rhodes lived most of their lives (best I can determine)in Walker County, but I couldn't find them buried there. I was beginning to think they moved west, and one day just happened to look in a Catoosa County cemetery records book. That's where I found Madison & Miriam, in Catoosa County. I've found other ancestors buried in counties where I had no knowledge they had lived. The elders had moved to live with an adult child who had previously moved to another county.
