The fact that there is no docket number simply means the will is filed alphabetically by last name. My wife's gggrandfather was listed the same way and I had no idea what it meant until I went by the courthouse last summer. I asked one of the clerks about it and in less time than I would have thought possible found myself holding the last will and testament and all the supporting documents of a man who had died 100 years ago. Now I find William showing up on the Probate Docket Index I - L Walker Co., GA., with no Docket number. They also have a son on the Docket by John JAMES.
