Hi ladies,I noticed your discussion about Powell's and though I'm not related,when I came across this obit in Monday's Chatt.Times-Freepress paper for May.7,2001 I thought I would post it just in case. Karen. James Powell RINGGOLD -- James Max Powell, 74, died Sunday, May 6, 2001, in a local hospital. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII. He was a member of American Legion Post #95 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1289. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Mary Powell; and one brother, Marvin Powell, Maryville, Tenn. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gurney Beard officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today.
