    3. HI Jeanette, The Order of Knights Templar is the highest level of Masonry in the York rite. It is equal in prestige to the 33° of the Scottish rite. All masons belong to the 3° Blue lodge and can advance to higher levels either through the Scottish Rite or the York Rite. MY Dad was the Worshipful Master of Dalton Lodge 105 in 1919 and he was a Knights Templar. If you are near a library that has archived copies of Life Magazine the October 8,1956 issue had an extensive article on the structure of Masonry and their associated organizations.
