Hello to all in Walker Co Ga! This is my first posting in Walker Co and I hope I can get some info from you folks down there. We know that Fredric White b. abt 1842 somewhere in Tn married Mary Ann (Marion) Bird (Byrd) b. Sep 1840 somewhere in Tn. He died 1892 Scott Co Ar and she died 1905 Waldron, Scott Co Ar. After they married they went to somewhere in Ga and it may have been Walker Co. They had Nancy Elizabeth White abt 1867 Ga and my Grandmother Mary Jane (White) Russell b. Sep 26-1869 Ga. After Mary Jane was born, they moved to Scott Co Ar. Thge Scott Co Ar 1900 census lists two more siblings and Mary as widowed so Fredric died before 1900 and Nancy Elizabeth either married or didn't live at home by then. My mother's old papers say that Fredric was in the CSA army but don't have any other info on that. Also states that Mary Ann was all or part American Indian. I'm trying to find info on the parents on the White side and the Bird (Byrd) side Anyone in Walker Co Ga have any info for me? Thanks for reading. Freddie B Stewart
