The battlefield maps of Chickamauga almost all show Fowler's Ford on the right side of the map, south of Reed's Bridge. ( http://members.tripod.com/~ProlificPains/chickamauga.htm is typical.) Which Fowler was this named for? I'm pretty sure is isn't Joel, since he lived at the foot of Lookout Mountain. That leaves Joel's brothers Edward or Adolphus or their Daddy Drury. Or maybe their uncle William. Anybody know for sure? And in a similar vein, is there a property owners map of the area from that time? Thanks...
