It says Martin and Julia Anna DAVIS were in Lumpkin County in 1850; Julia Anna was in Walker County in 1860 and 1870. Martin died in 1859. Davis Crossroads was in the Kensington area. My WHITES, BELLS and EVITTS were in the McLemore's cove area, and I believe these are all close together. I have not linked the Davis to my family yet, but would not be surprised. I bought this book at a sale from the Chattanooga Library, and a handwritten note inside says it belonged to Penelope Allen, and was given to her by Doris Hetzler, October 1979. Regrettably, there is no index. Other relatives are MOORE; WEAVERS; MORRISON; WIRTH; HARR; JONES; RAGSDALE; WATSON; MULKEY; SHANKLES; POTTER; ORRELL Thanks - Bonnie White .

    3. I have very little on the Morrisons in Walker County. John Ruffin WHITE (1855 -1915, son to E.E. WHITE & Adeline EVITT) married Mollie BELL (1867 - 1938, dtr to Franklin L. Bell and Elizabeth MOORE). John and Mollie had 10 children. Among these children were Lillie WHITE. Lillie married John MORRISON. I have quite a bit of info on the WHITES and even more on the BELLS. I decided to list the Morrison name to aid in any of Lillie and John's descendents who may stumble on this site in search of their ancestry.
