    1. Walker Co reunion & directions, etc.
    2. I think Linda Sue may be on the road traveling right now and may not see the emails regarding the reunion tomorrow. Since this is an all day get together, yes, bring whatever food you would like. Paper products, etc., will be furnished so no need to bring them. If you do not want to eat with the group, there is the Plantation Resturant within 2 blocks. Also a Sonic (across from Plantation Restaurant) and a McDonalds nearby. But we hope everyone will stay. For anyone traveling south on Hwy 27 (or coming old 27 through the Park) when you see the Sonic Drive-in on the right side of Hwy 27, the Plantation Restaurant will be across the street. In front of the Plantation is a road that turns left (east) off Hwy 27 which is the Lee-Gordon Mill Rd. Make that left turn onto Lee-Gordon Mill Rd and stay on it about 2 blocks. You will have to go left where the road forks but you'll see the mill on the left side of the road... can't miss it. If anyone is traveling north on Hwy 27 from the LaFayette area... When you get to the Chickamauga area on Hwy 27, watch for McDonalds which will be on the left (west) side of the road. When you see McDonalds, there will be a traffic light. Turn right at that traffic light and go about 2 blocks. You are going to have to make a hard right turn onto Lee-Gordon Mill Rd but you can see the Mill when you get to this turn. The Lee-Gordon Mill is actually only a couple of blocks on the east side of Hwy 27 but it can't be seen from 27. There will be at least three copiers (scanners)... I'll be taking mine, Linda Sue will take hers and Janie Westbrook is suppose to bring hers. If anyone else has one and would like to bring it along, please feel free to do so. We will probably charge about 10 cent a copy because of the cartridge expense but I don't think anyone will object to that. Also, there will be some books for sale... Sartain's HISTORY OF WALKER COUNTY GEORGIA can be purchased at the mill. I'll be bringing the WALKER COUNTY HERITAGE BOOK, 1833-1983, both Walker County Cemetery books plus the index, and some of the other Walker County books. There will also be THE CIVIL WAR COMES TO DADE COUNTY, THE DADE COUNTY MARRIAGE BOOK, 1866-1888, THE FANNIN COUNTY MARRIAGE BOOK, DEKALB COUNTY ALABAMA 1870 CENSUS. Yes, there will be a note book for people to sign in that will include their address, email address, phone number and who they are researching. Sheila, Linda Sue and I were wondering what had happened to you this afternoon. Good to hear from you. Donna Newman, hope you can make it... I'm looking forward to meeting you. Everyone who can come, please do so even if only for a couple of hours. Sue
