2. Cece.... looks like someone beat me to your family.... but I'll keep an eye out for some that might've been missed in the index. There are a "bunch" of Benges in ALA... probably migrated from Walker like my family did. Sheila

    2. :) That's for sure..... ANd..... my pages aren't put together right.... I have one page of Anitioch leading into Naomi Cemetery, then back to Antioch.... :) Gets a bit confusing... and that's one of the cemeteries I need to be correct.... got family there! I was thinking of xeroxing the Anitioch pages only... so I can look for names without flipping back & forth. Don't get me wrong.... somebody worked HARD on those books & I'm glad they did.... I appreciate the efforts.... one day it will be updated & it will be wonderful! Sheila

    2. There is an index, but it's not that good. I looked up three people that I knew were in the book, but they weren't in the index. I looked ONE page at a time to find the names I needed. I ordered the book from Walker Co. Historical Society... web link: Walker County Historical Society - Walker County, Georgia USGenWeb - Sherry's Genealogy Home Page It's Walker Co. but has some cemeteries from nearby.... a couple in Chattooga, etc. Rather than buying the book, let me see what Youngbloods I find, ok? If you decide you want to purchase, you can do that AFTER I look. I only have Volume l, South Walker Co., but I've ordered the second volume. I WILL look for Youngblood & let you know what I find. Sheila

    2. This is a request for a look-up in Walker Co--no idea of cemeteries--The Joseph Martin family resided there in the late l700's and early l800' This is the missing link in my mother's family. Joseph N Martin had moved to Rowan co in l836 where his son William Henry was born, but shortly after returned to Walker Co according to his grandson's appl for Cherokee EASTern Band membership. Wm Henry's data was too sketchy to be accepted and was denied. This family was connected to the John Martin, Treas of the Cherokee and government agent who finally moved his family on to AR and then into OK where he is buried. Judge John Martin is considered /8th Cherokee from his mother's (Mary Grant) lineage. Would love to know if there are really Martin's in Walker Co. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
