    1. [GAWALKER] Parrish of Walker Co
    2. Carolyn Wagner
    3. Linda Sue, Have you or anyone run across a Garner Parrish b 1800 N Ca. with wife Cela (unknown) b 1805 Ky? They were married in Adair Co, Ky 29 Jul 1818. Family lore has it that they walked the trail of tears but you know how that goes. I found them on the Polk Co, Ar 1850 census. With them were: Rebecca M Parrish b ca 1831 Tn James Parrish b ca 1832 NC Conortlin G Parrish b ca 1834 Il John E Parrish b ca 1835 Tn Mary A Parrish b ca 1835 Tn Melissa Parrish b ca 1838 Tn Elizabeth Parrish b ca 1841 Tn Louisa Parrish b ca 1843 Tn Thomas Parrish b ca 1845 Ar Don't know if all the children were theirs as we were told that they may have adopted some of them as they were orphaned on the trail. The children were in no particular order on the census which may or may not mean anything. Would appreciate any help. I'll be out of town for a couple of days so won't be able to respond to any one til Sunday. Thanks to all. Carolyn

    1. Re: [GAWALKER] Re: High Point Baptist records
    2. Sue, Go ahead and call if you want to.......I have been working 16 hour days lately so I hate to promise and not do it. They said they did not have records for the cemetery. About 80% of the people buried there are relatives of mine. All the Parrish, all the Hollingsworths, including my Dad's brother who died at only 3 months of age. He is buried next to my Great Grandparents (his father's parents). When my Grandmother pasted in 1997 we found his little memorial book from 1938 when he died and she had pressed little flowers in there. they where still intact when we found the book! That cemetery and where it is located is one of the most awesome places I have ever been. Of all of us on the list that descends from John Parrish, we need to get a fund going to repair his headstone. It is broken in half. I will quit rambling now...................Linda Sue

    1. [GAWALKER] Probate Docket
    2. Bill Clody
    3. Good News to all Walker County Genealogy Fans. The Walker County Probate Docket is now completely backup on the internet site. I am starting to work next on the Marriages. Marriages contains both a brides index and a grooms index. It is quite complete from the date that records being maintained until about 1920. It will take a while to get this index completely backup but there is only this and the 1900 census index remaining of what was on the old site. Once those two pieces are back online we can start forging new territory. Most of the other resources that were on the site at geocities are back up and working at the new location at http://www.rootsweb.com/~gawalker/index.html. Check it out and let me know of any problems you may encounter.
