He was the son of Arthur and Msary HEDRICK Gilbert of Murray Co GA...." 2) William Cicero Greene... "William Cicero Greene, oldest son of James Rufus and Ever Jane HEADRICK Greene then living midway Naomi and Catlett, was born March 26, 1878." 3)John Grigsby... "John Grigsby ws the fourth child and the oldest son of James Grigsby and Lydia HEADRICK. His father James was born 7 July 1804 in Tennessee and his mother was born 4 March 1805 in South Carolina and they were married 1 July 1824 in McMinn County Tennessee and they were among the early settlers of West Armuchee Valley in Waslker County." My gr-gr-grandfather was James Campbell and he is buried in Lassatter Cemetery (Marion Co). My mother was from Grundy Co and my dad from Walker Co. The book I have was written by Mattie Lorraine ADAMS of Duluth, GA. and published in 1973 by Claxton Printing Company. I do not know if it is still available, but was told that it is in the Walker County Library. (Would someone let me know if this is true?) I had originally thought it had just a few references to Walker County but have found a small goldmine of info. If any of you tie to this line, you will really want to try to find the book. You can tell it was written with love and enthusiasm and is pretty easy to follow. Many family letters and photos are included in the book. I have a book on the descendents of Daniel and Rachel DAVIS. I have not connected it to my line at all - yet. It is not indexed and lookups are pretty much impossible since every single page has many, many Davis names on it.
