The Thompson family settled in Whitfield, Catoosa, Walker and from there migrated into TN. Most of them were related. What is your dates for your Sam Thompson. HI Jeanette, The Order of Knights Templar is the highest level of Masonry in the York rite. It is equal in prestige to the 33° of the Scottish rite. All masons belong to the 3° Blue lodge and can advance to higher levels either through the Scottish Rite or the York Rite. MY Dad was the Worshipful Master of Dalton Lodge 105 in 1919 and he was a Knights Templar. If you are near a library that has archived copies of Life Magazine the October 8,1956 issue had an extensive article on the structure of Masonry and their associated organizations. Oh, how I wish I could attend the reunion and talk with RHODES descendants. My ggg-grandparents Madison E. (think that stands for Early) and Miriam Rhodes lived in Walker Co. If someone learns of records of Masons in Walker County, please post that information to the List. Madison Rhodes was a Mason. Hope y'all have a great reunion! Donna Warlick

Hi, all. My name is Jon Campbell. I'm looking for information about my great grandfather, William H. Campbell. Here is what I know of him thanks to my new found cousin Linda Sue's family page: Children of FLORRIE PARRISH and WILLIAM CAMPBELL are: i. ROBERT EDWIN5 CAMPBELL, b. April 06, 1890. ii. NORA VESTA L CAMPBELL, b. November 06, 1888. iii. HATTIE LORENA CAMPBELL, b. April 21, 1891. iv. JAMES SAMUEL CAMPBELL, b. January 07, 1892. v. LUTHER ANDERSON CAMPBELL, b. December 06, 1896. vi. CHARLES CAMPBELL, b. July 06, 1900. My line comes through, v. Luther Anderson who married Matilda Fritts children: i. Luther Anderson Campbell, Jr., b. 8 Oct 1921 ii. Hershell Edwin Campbell, b. iii. Ada Campbell, b. iv. Virginia Campbell, b. My dad is Jr. The trouble is that both dad and granddad are dead and my uncle is dead and the two aunts never met William. I did get my granddad's death certificate which names William, but having trouble getting William's from GA. Anyway, that is about all I've got so far. Does anybody know anything about William Hansell(?) Campbell? Linda, I made it in! Jon >>> Download free spam killer at http://eliminatespam.com
I plan to attend, if my husband is okay. The family lines we have are White - Bell - Evitt/Evatt -Moore. I am particularly interested in info on the Antioch Baptist Church history. Our Edward Ellison White (known as E.E.) was the first person buried in the church cemetery. I believe he laid the bricks for the original church structure also. I have been unable to trace him prior to Walker County. I do have quite a bit on the Bell family, but not much on the Evitt or Moore lines. Will be happy to share what I do have. Does anyone know if the local Masonic lodge has available records? I believe some of these men were Masons. Thanks - Bonnie White
Nicely stated Ms. Green-- Anyone looking for Nelsons, I would love to hear from you. I live in Wi and to far for me to attend. . All have a fun and safe time. Listmembers, I wish you a good reunion, sorry I can't make it. My grandfather was Knight of the Templar and I wonder if that is actually part of the Masonic order?? If anyone comes across information on the CLECKLER name or Sam Thompson, or Lanier please let me know. The CLECKLER family lived in Walker co and then moved to Whitfield co. Thanks, Jeanette
Regarding this reunion. Are all families of the area meeting? Do we know if additional people researching our particular name are going to be there? Do you have a count of how many family names will be represented? I have a John Crye who died in Walker Co. and his mother Lizzie and brothers and sisters were there also from about 1900 - 1930. If someone from this name plans to attend, would you please post, as this will encourage me to come and bring files. If there is no one researching my family name and ties, I don't think making the four hour drive would be of benefit. ----- Original Message ----- From: <LSHOLLINGSWORTH@aol.com> To: <GAWALKER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 09, 2003 12:16 AM Subject: Re: [GAWALKER] Re: Reunion > Sorry...........been too many postings to write lately...........YES IT IS > SATURDAY!
