I have information regarding the location of the graves of John and Allie (stephens) Barker and some of his children. The tombstones were pulled into a creek several years ago (early 60's) by an irate farmer who purchased the land. My grandmother took me there in the mid-60's. I wrote down what I could, but it wasn't very much. The water, algae, and time had worn them down pretty good. The children of Mary Smith Barker (Elijah's wfie) worked for a while to restore some of these markers. Some of these graves were only a few years old at the time. I seem to recall documents in the Superior (?) Dourt records in the early 60's that dealt with a court case where the farmer was ordered to restore the graves, but he died before this happened. I will try to talk with family members who may still recall what happened. If anyone knows more please let me know. If anyone who live in he area is interested I can give you directions. Let me know.
