    2. MRS.CARRIE BROWN DIES SUDDENLY Mrs. Carrie Brown of Thomaston, Upson county, Georgia, did at her home, Wednesday morning between 2 and 6 o'clock, 29 August, 1923. She was formerly Miss Carrie Goode and was born in this county 4 February, 1849, and married 28 July, 1864 to Thomas. H. Brown of Co. A, 46 Ga. Reg. who was wounded at Chattanooga 21 Sept. 1863, and surrendered 26 April 1865 at Grennsboro, N. C. She has been on the pension roll of Upson county as the widow of an ex-confederate soldier, since 1909. Mrs. Brown's body was found in bed Wednesday morning by her son, Mr. Will Brown, who lived with her. Apoplexey was ascribed as the cause of her death. The funeral and the burial held at Roland Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock Rev. S. H. Whatley , officiating, with Stephens Undertaking Company, Lyne Crenshaw, funeral director, in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Brown leaves the following relatives: Four daughters, Mrs. B. L. Dudley, o f Columbus, Mrs. Callie Searcy of Sycamore, Mrs. John Reeves of Zebulon, Mrs. J. E. Perdue of Thomaston, two sons, Mr. Mack Brown of Thomaston, Mr. W. T. Brown pf Tampa, Fl., And one brother, Mr. T. B. Goode of Thomaston. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy o fteh people of this community in their sorrow.
