There was a family of Smiths.... one named Rebecca listed as early members in the Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church. Could be her? Mrs. Rebecca Smith, an aged and esteemed lady, died at the home of her son, Mr. James Smith about nine miles west of Thomaston on Friday. Mrs. Smith was visiting her son for a few days and while at his home received a fall, and owing to her advanced old age was unable to recover from the shock. She was seventy-eight years old, having been born and reared in Upson and having lived here her entire life. Mrs. Smith is survived by four children, two sons and two daughters. Her children living in this county are: Mr. James Smith and Mrs. James Beverly The remains were interred at the Collier burying place. Virginia Crilley
