SIMONTON Mr. H. J. Simonton died at the home of his sister, Mrs. S. J. Torbert, Monday after an illness of six weeks, the funeral was held at the home Tuesday, Rev. S.R. England, Pastor Thomaston Methodist church officiating. The body was laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery with Stephens Undertaking Co. in charge of arrangements and the following acting as pallbearers: J. H. Hoyle, A. S. Kersey, H. H. Birdsong, J. J. Childs, J. A. Thurston, A.E. Feen, A.J. McMakin, J. R. Davis. The deceased was 72 years of age and was a member of St. John's Church in Atlanta. He was a Mason and Odd Fellow. He survived by his sister, Mrs. S. J. Torbert, and three brothers, messers W.P. and R. A. Simonton of Thomaston and J. T. Simonton of Greenville. Henry Jossey Simonton 10/20/1852- 9/7/1925 H.J.
