    1. [GAUPSON-L] Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church

    3. I just had a question about John Barker, one of the early pastors of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church (served 1846) I've located the District and lot #....but Trime (Trinne or Triune) Mill Rd doesn't seem to run through it. That lot is directly south of Thomaston on Gordon Road. Did they move? Has anyone ever seen a picture of this old church... or know when it closed its doors or turned into another church? Primitive Baptist Churches Bethlehem (1824-1959) Take Trime Mill Rd 7.3 miles. Cemetery on right. Feb 6, 1824 established a meeting house on Lot #17, District #10, formerly Monroe County, then Pike County, on the west side of the [Tobler] creek. Thomas Leverett was chosen as first pastor followed by Jacob King in 1826. More information: (History of Upson County pg 327)including abstracts of early minutes and early member names.
