    1. [GAUPSON-L] Richard Bailey
    2. Crilley
    3. Can anyone help us follow up on Richard Bailey?? Could someone please do a look-up in the Cemetery Book for this family? Read below...but it sounds like Emily Watts Bailey had property from her family which was part of "her estate"....and it very well could be the Negroes that were in the deed which Richard later gives to his own daughter. Found in History of Upson Co pg 702 1833 Oct 2 (*only issue available for that year) "Richard Bailey has lost a pocketbook for which he offers $50.00 reward. It contained bank notes on Chattahoochee and Columbus Banks, the Bank of Augusta, the Macon Bank, $3,000.00 in notes for tickets in the Milledgeville Street Lottery. " **don't know if he drew in the 1830 lottery or had purchased some notes.....or if this was different from the land lottery** Anybody know?! >From: [email protected] >Date: Sun, 30 Jun 2002 00:14:01 EDT >Subject: Re: [GABUTTS-L] Talbot Deed Bk >To: [email protected] >X-Mailer: AOL 5.0 for Mac sub 39 > >I am most interested in knowing more about this Richard Bailey and daughter >in this newspaper report. >1829 >Emily O Watts sister of my GG Grandfather Pascal M Watts married one Richard >Bailey in Butts County 1829.
