Correct here. the Braswell surname was spelled in any ways, usually depending on the literacy level of the family, the way it was pronounced, and many other reasons. Brazil and Brazzell are just two of many variant spellings. The names previously posted dare not familiar to me, but I will be happy to share information I have available about the Braswell Clan and share links as well. It appears that all Braswells in America descended from the same Immigrant Ancestor who came from England to the Isle of Wight , VA.
