Ellington, 65, were held Sunday, April 18 at 2 o'clock from the Chapel of Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Hemphill and Rev. Dean Hemphill officiating. Burial was in South View Cemetery. Mr. Ellington died Friday, April 16 at the Upson County Hospital. He resided 251 East Moores Crossing Road and was a veteran of World War 11 serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a native Upsonian, and a retired taxi cab driver for Safety Cab company here in Thomaston. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mattie Bagley Ellington, one daughter, Mrs. Kathy Ellington Scott, Thomaston, three sons; Jimmy Ellington and Harvey Ellington, both of Thomaston, Ronnie Ellington, Thomasville, three sisters; Mrs. Alice g Gresham and Mrs. Annie E. Sewell, both of Thomaston, Mrs. Edna Ellington Karn, Albany, four brothers; Bennie Ellington, Douglas Ellington, and Alfred Ellington, all of Thomaston, Edward Ellington, Albany, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter also survive.
