    3. Don Collin's shared the pension application of Enoch Collins...who was a member of Pruden's Artillery... This led me to seek info about this group... Enoch Collins was a member from "seven months from 1864 to 1865" -- and perhaps it was one of those formed near the close of the war. anyway, as I glanced down this list -- I recognized some other Taylor County men... it seemed perhaps these were older men (the ones too old for a normal regiment). Take a look and see if you locate any of your ancestors. I'd love to gather more information about this unit and post it on our pages. http://ranger95.crosswinds.net/civil%20war/georgia/ Scroll down to Artillery and it is in alphabetical order. Thought you might glance at this list and see if you recognized any other names. At 07:46 PM 12/10/2003 -0800, you wrote: >bettydon@foxinternet.net Virginia Crilley

In the course of his relationship, Alpheus Beall had fathered two son's out of wedlock. (William H. Paddgett & Elisha Paddgett). Sometime before his death, Alpheus has his children (son's) legitimized by a private act of the Georgia legislature. Thus the two son's became; William H. Beall and Elisha Beall. Mary his widow flat out refused to share any of the property with his son's that he fathered with another woman, but by this time she had remarried a man by the name of William J. Stalling, and took the two son's to court. (William & Elisha H. Beall vs. William J. Stalling : administrator of Alpheus Beall).
