A native of Marion County, Ga., Mrs. Johnson had lived in Upson County for many years and was a member of Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Monday, May 11 at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Bentley Adams and Rev. Dan Hampton officiating. Interment followed in Crystal Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson is survived by one son, Raymond Johnson,Sr., of Atlanta, two granddaughters; Mrs. Anthony (Dianne) South of Thomaston, and Mrs. Sybil Rogers of Jasper, Fla., three grandsons; Ronnie Salter of Cartersville, Mac Salter of Thomaston, and Raymond Johnson, Jr., of Greenville, SC., and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home with the Rev. Olan Wills officiating, assisted by the Rev. Euell Reece. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery in Yatesville. Mrs. Isbell was a native Upsonian and a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Frances Beckham Dixon, Kathleen, Ga., and Mrs. Carol Isbell Smith, Thomaston, two sons; William Raymond Beckham, Tallahasee, Fla., and Alvin W. Isbell, Norcross, three step-sons; Albert Isbell, John L. Isbell and Clarence Isbell, all of Thomaston, six brothers; Odell Corley, G. C. Bechham, Paul Beckham, and Ed Beckham all of Thomaston, John W. Beckham and Moses Beckham, both of Madison, two sisters; Mrs. Nellie Watson and Mrs. Ruth Burk, both of Thomaston, and 13 grandchidlren.
