JARRELL KILLS PARROT MONDAY NIGHT Monday night about three o'clock George JARRELL shot and killed Raymond Parrot on the Streets of East Thomaston. Both were residents of that Village. The killing occurred after a party of which the two principles were members had been drinking for some hours, it is said. Jarrell had been beaten up by someone. He blamed Parrot with it and went to his residence, secured a single barrel shot gun, returned to the scene and shot Parrot through the heart. Jarrell was arrested and placed in Upson Co. jail to await trial in Upson Superior Court in February. Both of the men are comparatively young. Parrot had a wife but Jarrell is said to be single.
I just would like to say how much I appreciate your efforts in getting out all this information to us. I've already seen some family connections that I knew nothing about...you never know about surviving siblings, and who children have married, or even how someone might have died. I think its great! Thank you, Diane Allen Cooper researching: SMITH, SULLIVAN, WALKER, HUGULEY, and HOWARD...to name jus a few.
Thank You very much. I am trying very hard to get this information put in. As Virginia knows I have been working hard the past couple of weeks. We have updated the Upson Coroner's list to about 1905 now, I went out & personally did 4-5 Cemeteries & submitted them MYSELF. I have only placed about 1/4 of the obits I have at this point. Virginia is trying to place Cemeteries & dates to the one's who do not have it & so am I. I really appreciate your note. Until one goes out & actually gets involved in this, one will never know how much work goes into this information. THANKS, Lisa (IN ALABAMA)

Are you referring to the helpful obituaries that I am posting for Upson Co. ? If So, I am doing this for the people of Upson Co. I do not even live in Upson Co. I took my time, my gas & traveled there & made these copies so the people of Upson could use them. They have apparently been most helpful. I suggest you use your delete button.

Carey, I'm so sorry to read your note --- which sounds like you are frustrated with us!! We're just trying to get these obits out to as many people as possible. By sending them through the mailing list, it lets people who aren't even ON the Upson list be able to see them through the PML system. This is for just a short time ---and then we'll have them all done and the Upson List will be back to normal. If you'd like to take this GAUPSON in Digest (where you get all the messages in ONE list and then you can just quickly delete), I'll be glad to do that for you. Again, I do apologize that you feel that there has been too much traffic. Most folks have been very enthusiastic about it. the other option is to unsub for a while, and then just visit the Archives for the Mailing List and keep up with it that way. http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/usa/GA/upson.html anything I can do to help you, just let me know.... I'm here to help you as much as possible.
