My Knight family lived a short time in Union County, GA, having moved there from Union County, SC in 1844. Two sons married thwere in 1847 so I know they were there at least three years. they then moved on to Mississippi. Can anyone tell me if deed books are available for 1844-1847. I was in the court house of Union county in 2000 and managed to find some marriage records but the records were not being kept very well, so I wonder if anything is available now for research. I will greatly appreciate any help with information about research availability. Susan Lane
