Jamie, Thanks. That info helped a lot , especially with Susannah Gaddis and the Medaris line of the family. I had the same info regarding Capt. Allen Gaddis. Matilda Gaddis Sharp married Andrew Jackson Butt and the story I have says they left Union County went to Colorado , although it could have been another western state. .I have not been able to locate them after they left Union County . The story about Andrew and Matilda going West was provided to me by Ed Mauney, who had been fortunate enough to know some of the children and grandchildren of many of the area's pioneer families. Susannah Butt had married a Mr. Black 1st and had John Butt Black b.August 16, 1826 who married Kizzie Crumley ; Martin Black , b.Abt. 1823 and married Rebecca Irwin; Evan Black, b. Abt. 1831; and Elizabeth Black ,b.Abt. 1828 and married William Colwell. Thanks again for your help. James B.
