My ancestors were also from Union County. They were Cherokee and you are right. Cherokee Indians were not carried on the white rolls. Check the Chapman and Siler Cherokee Rolls. Then Look up Union County. Those rolls were made in 1851. Lamar Smeed GTECI@AOL.com
