Hi, I am descended from a Downing family that is suppose to be Native American. Could you give me any info? Where might I find this? My Cherokee ancestors stayed in Ga. and hid. Of course I'm not sure of Downings all I know is Hannah Easter Downing is g gggreat grandmother who married a Bentley in Lincoln Co. N.C. Any help would be great. Thanks, Vanessa
