I noticed your discussion of David Brackett et al giving land to Providence Church. That August 31, 1885 indenture is reflected on page 28 of "A Mountain Legacy" (The History of Providence Church), compiled, written and edited by Joyce Moesker with Rosella Jordan. Page 42 reflects the 1900 Providence Church Register of 176 members, with many Bracketts, to include one D.L. Brackett (Trustee) along with my G/GF Charles Fair, wife Sarah White Fair and many other members of my family. Your comment led me to post this info for the benefit of some who may not know that there exists such a Church History. I obtained my copy in 1988.
