According to information in my files, Isaac Nicholson (born 1776 in Virginia) and Rebecca Penry (born 1787 in Virginia) lived a few years in South Carolina after their marriage but spent the remainder of their days in Tennessee and Georgia. Isaac died in what was then Union but now Towns County, GA in 1853. Rebecca died in 1860 in Monroe County, TN. They were the parents of thirteen children. The only children I have information on are Jonathan, Isaac Jr., and Jane. Isaac Nicholson, Jr., was born Nov. 30, 1830 in Monroe County, TN. In 1848 he moved to Polk County, TN where he married Helen M. Howell on March 4, 1849. Jonathan Nicholson (1826-1903) married Elizabeth Ann "Betsey" Eller (1829-1910+), daughter of Joseph Eller and Mariah Hedden. They lived on Upper Hightower in Towns County, GA. Their children were: Adaline (1849) m. John Posey Eller Martha (1851) Margaret (1854) William (1855) Joseph (1856) Jeffrey (1858) Francis DeKalb (1858-1948) m. Nancy Jane Parker John Harvey (1863-1890) Elisha Franklin (1865-1926) m. Eliza Ann Ledford James Milton "Dee" (1869-1930) m. 1st Louisa T. Ledford 2nd Ila Anderson Samantha "Sis" 1870-1905 m. Joseph P. Nichols Jane Nicholson (1814-1880+) married John Shook (1812-1880+), son of Peter Shook and Mahalia Evans. They lived in Rabun and Towns County, GA. Their children were: Rebecca (1831-1936) m. Elliott Nicholas Mack (1836-1863) married Malinda Catherine Eller Elizabeth (1837) m. Jeffrey Eller Alexander (1840-1931) m. Tennessee Cantrell LaFayette (1842) Nancy (1845) m. Singleton John Hawkins (1845) m. Minerva Catherine Fincannon Sarah Ann (1848-1911) m. Albert Gragg Margaret M. (1850-1926) m. Julius M. King Martha A. (1852) m. Almarion Baker Mandy Ree (1856) m. Eli Hoyl Baker Dedas William Mary Ann (1833-1890) m. 1st Luke Smith 2nd William C. Smith Caroline Angeline I am a descendant of Rev. Sol.
