Joseph Monroe and Naomi Adaline Hayes had 10 children one of which was James Madison Thomas. He married Mary Eva Caldwell whose parents were John Moody and Margaret Emmalissi Stancil Caldwell. John Moody Caldwell's parents were Meredith B. and Winnie Ovaline Woody Caldwell. The Woody line is mostly from Lumpkin County, but also listed as Union County prior to the county splitting. You'll see references to Woody Gap, Suches being in both counties. Glad to help out.
