GA Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ga/Union?read=585 Surname: FAIR, WHITE, NICHOLSON, ODOM, CALDWELL, HOOD, YOUNG, DAVENPORT, CASTEEL, COLE, TOWERY, MCGEE, ATKINS, SELF ------------------------- My G/GF, CHARLES FAIR, married SARAH WHITE in Union County, GA in about Feb 1866. Their second child (of 12), MARY LOUISA, married WASHINGTON L. ODOM, son of JOHN and MARY N. ODOM, in the mid-1880s. That ODOM family can be found in House No. 128 in the on-line 1880 Union County Census, Lower Young Cane District, at the following URL: http://www.rootsweb.com/~gaunion/1880-LowerYoungCane.html The CHARLES FAIR household is in House No. 171; WILLIAM WHITE's home is No. 170. You will find many ODOM households in the various districts of Union County in that era. If you have not been to this GAUNION website, go there now--it is loaded with Census data from multiple decades. WASH and LOUISA had seven children--JOHN, THOMAS, JAMES, CHARLIE, DOVIE (M. GEORGE YOUNG), SARAH LILLIE ANN (died before mariage)and MAE BELLE (M. GREEN,HERBERT). I have not yet had the time to run down this portion of the family tree. Washington is buried at Confidence Methodist Church in Union County; Louisa went to Cleveland, TN to live out her life with her daughter MAE BELLE after Wash died and is buried there in the "big cemetery" according to relatives. That's about all I can tell you about this family at this time as i have been putting in many hours digging out the details of the other 11 children of CHARLES FAIR. Let me know if I can help otherwise.
