Hi Don-- Thanks for the site update. I visited your site to check out the book--nice work. I visit from time to time to look at Woody documents. A query for you: In January 1939, a man named "Dallis Woody," helped a monument company locate the Fannin County, GA, grave of W.S. Murray (my gg-grandfather) so that W.S. Murray's son, E.A. Murray of Fletcher, Oklahoma could place the tombstone there. W.S. Murray died 1877, so this Dallis Woody probably would have been an adult or young adult in 1877 (to remember the gravesite so many years later). Maybe Dallis was related to the Murrays, possibly through the Woody who married a Petty. Does this Dallis Woody ring a bell with you? --D.K.
