The Talton Woody I have was born 1758 in Surrey Co.N.C. Died 12/07/1828 in Ashe Co. N.C. And I may be wrong but I have Willliam Woody and Sarah Percel as his parents and wife is Elizabeth Loggins. I have one son listed as James Woodie born about 1788. I do have another Talton that was the son of William and Elizabeth Lovell but no spouse is listed at this time, I am still keying in information, so if I come across anything else I will let you know... I have had such great luck with these lists. In case anyone is interested, there is a Thomas family reunion July 15th at the Aaron The Elder Thomas property on the Toe River Campground in Yancey County, N.C. There are lots of Woody's and Caldwell connections in this family and it will be a great get away. Thanks Carolyn for the Thomas list information. I have all that line now and we are sooooo excited about finally finding the correct information. There is one thing of confusion though, and I will post this also to the Lumpkin list. Thomas C. Thomas line. I always thought we had the right information that he was the brother of Joseph Monroe Thomas but apparently not. There is a Thomas Callaway Thomas who married Jemina Whisenant. They had four children, one of whom a daughter married Nathaniel Wilkins. But on this new information Thomas C. Thomas (not sure middle name is Callaway now) is listed as an uncle. Thomas Callaway Thomas left Jemina with another woman is the legend and had another dozen or so children and supposedly went west. Anyone out there who can clear up my confusion on this...
