In regards to the inquiry on Julius Butt(s) age 5. I found in the Union Co Historical Book (p.90) the following information: ...."Julius(b. c1845), second child of Jacob, died fighting in the Union Army during the Civil war. He was possibly fighting under General Meadeas. The sword he was carrying on his horse was rreturned to his family when he died, and it remains with the family today." There are quite a few articles on the Butts family in the book. Hope this helps.
