MURRAY and my speculations as to him being the same individual as my gg-grandfather Scott. I have since received all kinds of clues that support that fact--but now I have a new puzzle. Among the things I received is a copy of a photo of a "Jim Murray," son of "Gains Murray" who is "Wills half brother." I know that the Will they refer to would be William E. Murray (married Ninnie SNYDER). Will is W.S. Murray's son by his 2nd marriage to Nancy C. PETTY. According to the inscription, this Gains "come to Ok & lived with Will & Ninnie & worked in a cafe for about 7 months then went back to Ga." Only trouble is, there's no "Gains" Murray listed in the census of W.S. and Caroline (ROGERS) MURRAY's family. Do you have a Jim Murray, son of Gains Murray in any of your Rogers-Murray research?
