Greetings I need some questions answered before I know which one is really mine. I need some documentation or family knowledge. One of the 2 Elisha Garretts below was my great great granddad. (1) Elisha Garrett b: abt. 1849 to William E. Garrett & Mary Mashburn. They are in both the 1850 Union Co. Ga. Census & 1860 Fannin Co. Ga. Census. (2) Elisha Garrett b: abt. 1840 to James Garrett & Susannah Mashburn, also listed in the 1850 Union Co. Ga. Census. Does anyone know which Elisha married a Caroline Daniels (Possibly Asley C. Daniels) & If they had a son named Benjamin F. Garrett. My Elisha Garrett ended up in Benton County, Arkansas where my Great grandfather Benjamin Franklin Garrett was born Oct. 19, 1870. I know that James & some of his family moved to Benton County, Arkansas. It would help if I knew when they moved. This could put their son, Elisha in Benton Co., Arkansas. I also figure it is possible for William & Mary's son, Elisha to have followed his uncle to Benton Co., Arkansas. If I had a date of James family making the move, it would tell me how old their son, Elisha was at the time. If he was still very young, then he probably made the trip with them, If older maybe not.
