Hi Marty, you and I are CALLAHAN cousins. I thought I'd say hi and remind you of that. I also have LONGs from BURKE Co. NC here in Union Co. GA. md. into CANSLER, THOMPSON and LEATHERWOODs. Can you tell me if your MILLERs are from Wilkes Co. region ? there is a group from that area called the "Meat Camp Millers" who I believe I have a descent from. Ie., Nancy MOORE b abt 1805 NC wife of a John MOORE may be a dau. of the MILLERS in that region. If you think Henry is off that line I may have some data for you. Also, there are some CHANDLERs who were cousins to my BRIGGS/REEDER line out of Union co. SC. Joshua Gilbert (not "John") is the father of Nancy Gilbert, and step-father of several Millers. Joshua married first to someone unknown, and she died, then he married Mary Stewart Chandler (a widow), and had several children (Joshua and Mary are my ancestors). After Mary's death, Joshua married another widow, Rhoda Russell Miller, widow of William Miller. William Miller (c1830) was a son of Henry Miller and Mary, whom I believe (not proven yet) came from Buncombe Co, NC to Union Co, GA in the 1830's. All of these Millers, Gilberts, Haygoods, etc lived in the north part of Union Co, GA along the NC line in the Gum Log area, I think.
