His family had left the area by 1860. He and brother Leander were in Walter's will. The present generation does not ever remember hearing them mentioned in family conversations. The John (1820-1891)in household 11 is son of Alfred Nicholson. He married Martha S. Teague (1821-1872) and children were: 1. Martha (1845-1924) married Philip Logan and children were Florence (1866), John (1869), Robert L. (1872), Mary (1875) and Joseph L. (1879). 2. Mary (1845) married Isham Jackson (184501871) and children were Lillie (1866) married Thomas S. Bridges and John (1869). 3. E. S. Lafayette (1849) married Celia J. Flowers and children were Alfred M. H. (1873-1874), Caroline C. J. (1875) and Hancel E. (1877) 4. A. Julius (1852) 5. Nancy Ann (1856-1932) married Jehu Lafayette Chastain (1852-1893). 6. John W. H. Underwood (1860) 7. James W. (1863) 8. William (1864) John Nicholson married #2 Mary Elizabeth Davis in 1872.
