I want to thank Wylene Alston ,who many years ago, when snail mail was the only genealogy contact I had, was so kind to send me the" Colonel John Alston" booklet that was such a great help finding my Alston family. I decend from Henry Alston from No Carolina to Ga. who's son, James Alston married Nancy Berry,born in Union Co,Ga. Their son Thomas Henry Alston b.1844 married Francis Cash b.1847,Habersham,Ga. James married Nancy July 4th 1803. I understand they are buired in Union County. For the interest of this family, My Grandfather Marshall Alston changed the spelling to Aulston ,when he left Oklahoma on the run in the 1930's and settled in California. Thanks again ,Wylene,Glynda
