Hello, OUR RWS John Nicholson (1763-1858) was married to Susan(nah) Brown as his only wife. Some confusion resulted among family researchers when the DAR accepted Nancy Freeman as his wife based on a marriage record in Bute or Warren County, NC. Our John Nicholson had been long gone from the area when the marriage occurred. That was a different John Nicholson.
