JERRY TAYLOR: Thanks for the information you show below. It helps me tie Sylvania in with Hannah Nicholson-Morgan. Her G-father, David Nicholson was a brother to Hannah Nicholson-Morgan. Hannah was the oldest child of Alfred & Mary Nicholson. Her G-father, David Nicholson was a twin to his sister, Delila, both born Oct. 24, 1833. You said Sylvania's father was named Andrew and her mother was named "Randy". The 1930 census shows his name as "Ab" but this is probably a "nickname" or it could have been a shortened form of "Abner" which might have been his middle name. The 1930 census does show his wife as "Randy." The 1930 does not show a sibling named "Canister," probably because that sibling might have died young. You have helped me a great deal and now I will add this information to my genealogy data base. This morning I called MR. RAY POTTS of Cochran Funeral Home and asked him why Sylvania did not have a marker at her grave site in the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery and he said it was because there was not enough money in the estate to buy one--in fact not enough money was available to pay for the funeral. He said he went up to the cemetery the other day after I first called him and he could not even find a funeral home marker at the grave site. However, she has been buried for 20 years so that is not surprising. Thanks again. I think Eldorado Sylvania Nicholson was the child of Andrew (b.abt 1872) & "Randy" Nicholson. I think there was also a sibling named Canister? born abt 1916. Andrew Nicholson was the son of David Nicholson (1833-aft 1910) and Mary Hooper (1833 - aft 1910). Mary Hooper was the daughter of Andrew & Dicy Hooper and the granddaughter of Absalom Hooper Sr. & Sarah Salers. David Nicholson was the son of Alfred Nicholson (1799 - aft 1880) and Mary Chastain (1797-1865). Alfred Nicholson was the son of John Nicholson (1763-1858) and Susan Brown.
