MARTHA CLAYTON CLEMENT: Thanks very much for this information. I had no idea when she died, nor where she died. I have looked for her gravesite in the big book of "CEMETERY RECORDS OF UNION COUNTY, GEORGIA" but it does not list her. The Union County Historical Society made this book, but they failed to list everyone in the cemeteries when they made the survey for the book in the late 1980s. In other words, they overlooked some of the grave sites. Do you know where Sylvania is buried? In the meantime I will attempt to find her relatives on the Internet address you show in your e-mail. Again, thanks. I looked up Sylvania Nicholson in the Georgia Deaths Database (1918-1998) and here's what I found: Sylvania E. Nicholson: Date of death: 14 Jan 1984 age: 73 years. County of residence: Union County of death: Union I could not find her in the 1930 census...she would have been around 19 or 20 years old, perhaps not yet married to Mr. Nicholson. Since the county of residence at her death was Union, it's quite possible she has descendants still living there. If she had sons, it may be possible to find them in the online White Pages http://www.theultimates.com/white/. Hope this helps! Rich, and I visited the home of Ms. Sylvania Nicholson in Union County, GA.I cannot remember exactly where she lived. I copied some genealogy data from her old family Bible. She had a great deal of information in it, but I did not have time to copy it all. She had some information on the Morgans because one of her ancestors, Hannah Nicholson, had married Samuel Morgan. Hannah Nicholson-Morgan's parents were Alfred Nicholson and his wife, Mary Polly Chastain-Nicholson. Alfred Nicholson's father was John Nicholson who fought in the Revolutionary War. John Nicholson is buried in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Coosa, Union County. My question is: does anyone know what happened to Ms. Sylvania Nicholson and what happened to her old family Bible?? One of the descendants of the Morgans is trying to join the DAR and she needs documentation about her connection with John Nicholson, the Revolutionary War soldier. If she had copies of the data in Sylvania's Bible it would be sufficient for the required documentation to join the DAR. Can anyone help? Thanks. SOLOMON HOWARD RICH
